Is the Steam API Free Plan really free?

Yes. Our Free Plan is completely free and ideal for testing. It includes basic rate limits as shown in the pricing table. For production workloads, we recommend upgrading to a paid plan for higher limits and full stability.

What are the rate limits for the Free Plan?

The Free Plan includes limited requests per minute and per day as listed on the pricing page. These limits ensure fair usage for all developers.

Do rate limits apply globally or per endpoint?

Rate limits apply globally across the API. Certain endpoints, such as the Steam Inventory API, may have separate limits due to their heavy load. Exceeding one endpoint’s limit does not prevent access to others.

What does 'Global Endpoint' mean?

'Global Endpoint' refers to all API endpoints that are not listed with their own separate limits. Only Inventory, Profile, and Friendlist endpoints have specific rate limits. All other endpoints — including pricing, items, metadata, float, and general Steam API requests — fall under the Global rate limit.

Do I have to pay separately for each API endpoint?

No. Every paid plan gives you access to ALL endpoints — Steam Market API, CS2 Pricing API, Inventory API, Float API, Profile API and more. No extra payment is required for individual endpoints.

What are Premium API endpoints?

Premium endpoints, such as '/items', are only available with an active paid plan. They allow you to fetch all items and skins of an entire game in a single request, including full pricing, market metadata and item details. The Free Plan does not include access to Premium endpoints.

What happens after I purchase a plan?

After purchase, your account is activated instantly and your API key becomes available in the dashboard. Use it in your request header as 'Bearer API_KEY'.

What happens if I exceed the rate limit?

If you exceed your rate limit, you may receive a 429 error. You can wait for the limit to reset or upgrade your plan to increase your allowed request capacity.

What is the billing cycle?

You choose at checkout. Subscriptions are billed via Stripe at the start of each new billing period — monthly (30-day) or yearly (12-month) — until you cancel. One-Time purchases are a single 30-day charge with no auto-renew; when the 30 days are up, your access ends unless you buy again.

What is the One-Time option?

One-Time is a single 30-day purchase without a subscription. You pay once, get 30 days of full access, and that's it — no recurring charges, no cancellation needed. Available on most paid plans (where the price is shown on the One-Time tab). Use it for short projects, evaluation, or whenever you don't want auto-renew.

Does my plan auto-renew?

Only Subscription plans auto-renew at the end of each billing period (monthly or yearly). You can cancel at any time from your dashboard via "Manage subscription" — your access remains active until the end of the period you have already paid for, and you will not be charged again. One-Time purchases never auto-renew.

Do I need a proxy to use the Steam API?

No. Our infrastructure handles all networking, rate limiting, buffering and caching. A proxy is not required.

Can I use the API commercially?

Yes. All paid plans support commercial use — including trading bots, marketplaces, pricing tools, analytics dashboards, automation systems and more. Subscription and One-Time purchases both grant the same access; only billing and renewal differ.

Can I share my API key?

No. Your API key is strictly personal. Sharing it may result in suspension. If a team needs access, each user must have their own plan.

What Steam data can I access?

You can access Steam Market data, CS2 pricing, Steam inventories, float values, profile data, game metadata, item details and other relevant Steam data, depending on your plan.

Can I get a refund?

Refunds are not available for paid periods, because digital access is provisioned immediately upon payment — this applies to both Subscription and One-Time purchases. For Subscriptions, you can cancel at any time via "Manage subscription" in your dashboard to stop any future renewal; your access remains active until the end of the current period. One-Time purchases simply end after the 30 days are up, with no further charges.
